Summary


Hawaiʻi is celebrating "Every Story Matters Week" from October 4–10, 2026, to champion intellectual freedom and the freedom to read. Coinciding with the American Library Association’s national Banned Books Week, this statewide initiative brings together the ACLU of Hawaiʻi, the Hawaiʻi Association of School Librarians, the Hawaiʻi Library Association, and the Hawaiʻi State Public Library System to encourage community dialogue and highlight diverse perspectives.
